Patrick Administration Announces New Regional Workforce Strategies Initiative

Goal is to prepare Bay State workers for high demand jobs

Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development Suzanne M. Bump is announcing a new statewide effort, The Massachusetts Regional Workforce Strategies Initiative, which will build regional pipelines to prepare our workforce for high demand jobs.

Business, education, government and workforce development leaders will come together to develop strategies and build partnerships to fill jobs in high growth, high demand sectors in each region of the Commonwealth.

As part of this collaborative effort, The Center for Labor Market Studies at Northeastern University will present new regional labor market demand and supply data that will identify regional workforce needs and support the work in developing strategies to solve workforce challenges.

The initiative begins with four regional events beginning Wednesday, May 14th on the North Shore. For additional information on this initiative and for details on each summit meeting, please visit www.commcorp.org or call 617-727-8158, ext. 1212 or download our Flyer.
